Terms of Service
Welcome to PartyLink. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the PartyLink party-game platform — the website, the desktop app, the phone controller app, the game store, and related services (together, the "Service"), operated by PartyLink ("we", "us", or "our").
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of These Terms
By registering an account, downloading the apps, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you are at least the minimum age required to use the Service in your jurisdiction (see Section 3), and that you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
2. About the Service
PartyLink turns a PC into a game host and phones into controllers. Games run locally on your PC, and players connect from phones on the same local network to play together in the same room. The Service also includes an online store where you can browse and purchase games, a library of owned games, and tools for game developers to publish their games.
Party games are played over your local network: controller input and in-game messages stay between your devices and are not uploaded to our servers. Your account, purchases, and licenses are managed through our cloud service.
Location
To localize content, comply with regional rules, and support location-aware game features, we may determine the country or region associated with your connection (for example, from your IP address), and, where you enable it and your device supports it, collect more precise location through native device location services. Your device and app permission settings control whether precise location is available.
Information shared with games
Games you play on the Service are provided by third-party developers. To operate a game session and provide a good experience, we share with the game developer the limited information required for that session — such as your in-game player id, nickname, avatar, and the country/region of the host machine — so the game can render correctly, localize content, and manage the room. We do not share your email address, password, payment details, or other account credentials with game developers. See our Privacy Policy for details.
3. Your Account
You may need an account to use parts of the Service, such as buying games or publishing as a developer. You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate registration information;
- Keeping your password and login credentials secure;
- All activity that happens under your account.
Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized use of your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.
Third-party sign-in
You may sign in using a supported third-party identity provider (currently QQ, Weibo, Google, Microsoft, or Apple). By doing so, you authorize that provider to share with us the limited profile information we request (identifier, verified email, and display name) to create or link your account. Your use of the provider's sign-in service is also governed by that provider's own terms and privacy policy.
Age requirement
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the higher minimum age required in your jurisdiction, such as 14 in mainland China). By using the Service you confirm you meet the applicable age requirement.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you will not:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws;
- Attempt to access, tamper with, or circumvent the security of the Service, including request signing, license checks, or game package encryption;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or crack game packages, licenses, or any part of the Service;
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users, or publish hateful, obscene, or infringing content;
- Interfere with the operation of the Service or impose an unreasonable load on our infrastructure;
- Create accounts through automated means, or resell, transfer, or share access in ways not permitted by these Terms.
5. Purchases, Licenses, and Refunds
Games in the store are licensed, not sold. When you purchase a game, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and play that game on devices associated with your account, subject to these Terms and any terms stated with the game.
- Payments. Prices are shown before purchase. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your full card details.
- Refunds. Refund eligibility is determined under the applicable refund rules shown at the time of purchase and in the Service, and in accordance with applicable law.
- Availability. We may update, suspend, or remove games, features, or the store itself, but we will honor licenses you have already obtained where reasonably possible.
6. Developer Terms
If you publish games through the developer portal, you must also agree to our Developer Agreement, which covers game submission, store listings, payouts, and content standards. In summary:
- You confirm that you own or have the rights to everything you upload, and that it does not infringe third-party rights;
- You are responsible for your game's content, safety, and compliance with applicable law;
- Payouts are handled through Stripe Connect, which requires identity verification (KYC). Payout timing is governed by the developer terms and applicable law;
- We may review, reject, or remove games that violate these Terms, our content policies, or applicable law.
7. User Content
You retain ownership of content you submit, such as your nickname, avatar, and developer-submitted game assets. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate the Service. You remain responsible for the content you submit.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, games, artwork, trademarks, and branding, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the licenses expressly granted in these Terms, no rights are granted to you. "PartyLink" and related marks are our trademarks.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOST PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (US$100). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PartyLink and its affiliates, officers, and employees from any claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from within the Service. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or applicable law. Upon termination, your licenses to games and your access to your account end, and we may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 8–11 and 13) will survive.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where we are established (currently the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China, based on our service configuration), without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree to attempt to resolve any dispute informally with us first by contacting [email protected]. Where required, disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction. Nothing in this section limits your statutory rights or the availability of your local consumer-protection authorities.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notice in the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
