1. What is PartyLink?

PartyLink turns one PC into a party-game console and every phone in the room into a wireless controller. The PC runs the game on the big screen, players grab their phones, and everyone plays together over local Wi-Fi — no extra hardware needed.

2. Getting Started

You need three things for a party:

  • A PC with Windows 10+ or macOS, running the PartyLink desktop app — this is the host console;
  • One phone per player (iOS or Android) with the PartyLink controller app;
  • All devices connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

In three steps:

  1. Install the PartyLink desktop app on the PC and sign in.
  2. Install the controller app on every player's phone.
  3. Connect everything to the same Wi-Fi, pick a game on the PC, and let players join.
Everything happens in your room: game action renders on the PC screen. Point the PC at a TV or large monitor for the best couch experience.

3. Connecting Controllers

  • Joining. The PC shows a QR code on its lobby screen. Open the phone app and scan it — or, if the phone is on the same Wi-Fi, it can find the PC automatically.
  • Controller styles. Each game chooses how your phone looks and behaves — classic buttons, joysticks, a drawing pad, a steering wheel, motion sensors, and more. A game may even switch controller styles mid-round; just follow the prompts on your phone.
  • Dropped out? If a phone loses connection (screen locked, stepped away), simply reopen the app and rejoin within 2 minutes — you'll keep your player slot and progress in the current game.

4. Your Account

  • Creating an account. Register with an email address and a nickname, or continue with a third-party sign-in (currently QQ, Weibo, Google, Microsoft, or Apple).
  • Managing your profile. You can change your nickname, avatar, and language preference in profile settings.
  • Forgot your password? Use the password reset option in the app. If that doesn't work, contact us at the email below.
  • Deleting your account. You can delete your account from within the Service or by contacting us. See our Privacy Policy for what gets removed.

5. Buying & Downloading Games

  • Browsing. The store lives inside the desktop app. Titles marked "Coming Soon" aren't purchasable until their release date.
  • Paying. Checkout is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Prices are always shown before you confirm a purchase.
  • Licenses. Games are licensed to your PartyLink account, not to a single device. Once you own a game you can download and play it from any PC you're signed in on, and re-download it any time from your library.
  • Offline play. Licenses are cached on your device after launch, so short periods without internet are fine (up to about 7 days offline).
  • Receipts. Purchase receipts and refund notices are sent to your account email address.

6. Refund Policy

We want every purchase to land well. Any game purchased within the last 7 days that has never been launched can be refunded for any reason — no questions asked.

Beyond that, whether a refund is available follows the refund rules shown to you at the time of purchase and, in any case, applicable consumer law. The general principles:

Typically eligible for a refund

  • A technical fault prevents the game from running properly and the issue can't be resolved;
  • You accidentally bought the same game more than once;
  • The purchase was not made by you (unauthorized charge);
  • The game became unavailable shortly after you bought it and we can't restore your access.

Typically not eligible

  • Change-of-mind requests made more than 7 days after purchase, or once the game has been launched.

How to request a refund

  • Within the 7-day no-reason window: open the PartyLink desktop app and go to Settings → Transaction History, find the order and tap Request Refund — no reason needed;
  • All other cases: email [email protected] from your account's email address, including the order number from your receipt, the game name, the purchase date, and a short description of the issue. We'll review and reply, usually within a few business days.

How refunds are processed

Approved refunds are issued through Stripe to your original payment method. Depending on your bank or card provider, it can take several additional business days for the amount to appear on your statement. Access to a refunded game is removed from your library.

A refund never affects the rest of your account: your other games, progress, and profile stay exactly as they are.

7. Troubleshooting

My phone can't find the PC

Make sure the phone and PC are on the same Wi-Fi. Guest and hotel networks often isolate devices from each other — use a regular network. If discovery still fails, scan the QR code shown on the PC, make sure your firewall isn't blocking PartyLink on private networks, then restart both apps.

A controller keeps disconnecting

Keep the phone screen on during play (disable auto-lock for the session) and stay within range of the router. If a phone drops, reopening the app and rejoining within 2 minutes restores your player slot.

I paid but the game isn't in my library

Wait a few minutes and restart the desktop app, and confirm you're signed in with the same account used for the purchase. Still missing? Email us your receipt and we'll sort it out.

My payment was declined

Payments run through Stripe. Check with your bank that the card allows online purchases, or try another payment method.

A game won't start

Make sure the desktop app is up to date and the PC is online, then try again. If the problem continues, contact us and tell us the game name, what happens, and your platform (Windows/macOS).
